Hi! I’m Colleen Hackett, an illustrator who grew up and currently resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a senior at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with an expected graduation date in May 2026 with a BFA in Illustration. My work primarily focuses on children’s book illustration, but I’m always open to take on new challenges and projects. My style emphasizes color, bold textures, and whimsy. I love blending both digital and traditional mediums to create playful characters and scenes. I am constantly inspired by nature, fantasy, and the small, cute and cozy moments in life. I live with my cat, Gizmo, who is always curious about what I’m working on. I aim to create uplifting and magical narratives with my illustrations, reaching out to comfort a variety of audiences.
