Hi! I’m Colleen Hackett, an illustrator who grew up and currently resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a senior at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with an expected graduation date in May 2026, earning my BFA in Illustration. My work primarily focuses on children’s book illustration, but I’m always open to take on new challenges and projects. My style emphasizes color, bold textures, and whimsy. I love blending both digital and traditional mediums to create playful characters and scenes.

I am constantly inspired by nature, fantasy, and the small, cute and cozy moments in life. I live with my cat, Gizmo, who is always curious about what I’m working on. I aim to create uplifting and magical narratives with my illustrations, reaching out to comfort a variety of audiences.
